The system will place exactly the right amount of water on individual lawn and garden areas, which means little or no waste. An optional rain sensor will shut the system down if it rains and will only allow it to resume when irrigation is needed.

Spring Sprinkler System Openings

A spring system opening is one of the services that we provide to our customers. To have your spring system opening scheduled if you are not currently a customer of American Irrigation, Inc., please call 716.438.0417 at your earliest convenience to schedule a date and time. A spring system opening includes:

Turn on water supply
Check backflow device
Check all heads for proper adjustment and coverage
Check system for leaks
Set timer for efficient watering
Clear overgrown grass from sprinkler heads

A spring system opening is an important service because we get the chance to see your system at the beginning of the watering season before any water is unnecessarily wasted or any lawn or landscape is neglected. Keep in mind that we can start up your system even if you're not ready to use it yet. It will be set up and tested and left in the "off" position until you are ready for regular watering.

The rate for opening a residential system is $55.00 plus tax. A residential pump system is $85.00 plus tax. A commercial system is $85.00 plus tax.

Note: Appointments not cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled booking will incur a $20.00 cancellation fee.

Fall System Winterization

Owning a system in the Northeast, Western NY is known for a deep freeze making winterizing your system an absolute must. Your sprinkler system is 95% plastic or poly of a sort, so not draining the system properly will definitely cause damage to the system. Water left in the pipes will expand which will cause cracks in the material and in some cases, damage other parts. This is also the best way to check for problem areas and possible leaks which can be noted and fixed in the spring (extra time will be allotted so you won't have to reschedule a date to have the system fixed after its been opened, in most cases) giving you the best system at startup.

If you are currently an American Irrigation, Inc. customer, we will call you to schedule your closing which we begin on or around September 15th. If you are not currently a customer of American Irrigation, Inc., please call 716.438.0417 at your earliest convenience to schedule a date and time for this important task.

The rate for closing a residential system is $65.00 plus tax. A residential pump system is $95.00 plus tax (antifreeze also added to the pump).. A commercial system is $95.00 plus tax.
